Maybe the recent stock market slide isn’t all about Europe. Could it be that consumers have been selling stocks to generate cash to fund all those record-breaking Black Friday purchases? Whatever the reason, retailers finally have something to cheer about as the holiday shopping season gets underway. Now if they can just turn those sales into profits, Wall Street will really take notice.
